In February 1946 Jack Ellis invested in a Single Tipper Truck; since then the haulage business has become a part of the family.
PS Transport has evolved from this tradition and today a second and third generation of the Ellis family work closely with a dedicated team operating a successful fleet of vehicles; delivering cargo throughout the U.K.
Although the fleet now consists mainly of articulated vehicles, providing dedicated and general haulage services, the company has in every year provided a tipper vehicle to Birds Eye Walls during the pea harvest season. From June to September 24 hours a day seven days a week the freshly harvested peas are shuttled from field to factory within stringent timescales.
